Each piece in the show Random Pattern was developed together as an installation. Random Pattern-Neighborhood originated from the experience of living in suburban Las Vegas. The piece discusses how the architecture of developer-driven communities isolates residents. An archetypical model of a house without a front door was first constructed and then photographed. The photograph was then photocopied. scanned, and finally reproduced as a lithographic print. With each facsimile the once precious design became simplified, eventually losing its integrity.
