I'm currently developing a 20 minute audio performance where audience members are induced into a meditative state using five channels of sound. Each audience member wears a pair of stereo headphones and is instructed to close there eyes during the performance. A grid of chairs, where the audience is seated, is surrounded by three external PA speakers. After the induction process viewers are transitioned through a series of environments in a dream like manner. The performance also involves the manipulation of a theater lighting system in order to alter ambient lighting conditions seen through the eyelids of viewers.
